HEALING PROCESS

  • Redness and swelling are common immediately after a tattoo. These effects usually subside within a few days.

  • Healing time varies, but it typically takes 2-4 weeks. Follow the aftercare instructions provided by the artist, including cleaning, moisturizing, and avoiding exposure to sunlight and pools.

  • Avoid tight clothing, bathtubs, hot tubs, scratching or picking at the tattoo site and leave scabs alone–do not remove scabs.

  • Artists often recommend specific products for aftercare, such as non-scented ointments or creams. Follow their recommendations.

LONG-TERM CARE
Tattoos may fade over time, but proper aftercare and avoiding excessive sun exposure can help maintain vibrancy. Use sunscreen on tattoos exposed to the sun to prevent fading and protect against UV damage.
